About Yuktikara

An outdoor retailer for people who hike, climb and camp.

Our story

Yuktikara started as an online shop in April 2017 and opened its first store, Portland Pearl, in October 2018. Flagships in Seattle and Denver followed in 2019, and the chain grew into the mountain towns of the West at about one store a quarter, until Fort Collins opened in September 2023.

Today there are 18 stores in four regions, plus the online store, selling 52 styles in 744 sizes and colours across footwear, apparel and equipment.

About this demo

Yuktikara Store is fictional. The company, its stores, products and customers are invented, and nothing on this site is for sale. Checkout is switched off, and the site never asks for payment details.

This store is the shop window for a synthetic dataset built for a series on Microsoft Fabric: ontology, data agents and Real-Time Intelligence, built by hand. The products, prices, colours, sizes and stores you see here come straight from that dataset, and so does the in-store stock, which is the RFID snapshot from August 31, 2026.

In the data, this website is store ST900, Yuktikara Online: every online order in the dataset was placed here. The fit note on the Cascade Ridge Hiking Boot isn’t hand-written either. It’s there because most of that boot’s returns in the data say “too small”, which is one of the questions the series asks a data agent to explain.

The dataset, its generator and the build guides are open: Yuktikara Store on GitHub. Built by Ravi Chandu Edru.

Product images are original illustrations of the fictional range. Their colours follow the catalogue; they are not photographs of goods available for purchase.
